David Freidinger is the Vice President of Business Management for the Pharma Solutions business at BASF Corporation. In this position he is responsible for BASF’s global pharma activities, including the units of Business Management, Marketing, Technical Product Management, Quality & Regulatory, and R&D. In his role, David is responsible for business steering and strategy implementation, focusing in areas such as market positioning, portfolio management, and product and service development.
He joined BASF Corporation in 1994 and has held various functional positions ranging from specialty to commodity-oriented businesses in areas such as polyurethanes, engineering plastics, and precious metal catalysts before joining the pharmaceutical industry. During his career, David has used his strong leadership skills to deliver solid sales and marketing success with a strategic orientation toward long-term business development. He holds a Bachelor of Science in packaging from Michigan State University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan.
